I too agree with Nancy Flowers and Lynn McBrien -- people who I work with don't realize or consider themselves as human rights educators. I really think people need help connecting the dots. In the Violence Against Women's movement in the US, I continually tell people that this is a human rights issue. I also feel the same when talking to people in public health. There is a lack of awareness and for many these issues were never brought up in their formal education. When you have the conversation, then there is the realization. Beth E.
