Incorporating Augusto Boal's methodology in this role-playing exercise is an intriguing idea. In fact, Boal's work is readily available in English; you may want to look for "Games for Actors and Non-Actors" published by Routledge. Other books include "The Theatre of the Oppressed" and "The Rainbow of Desire." Boal is an active participant in the Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed annual conference. This year's 10th annual conference will be held April 22 - 24 in Omaha, Nebraska. Boal will be leading Preconference Theatre of the Oppressed Workshops Sunday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 21. Go to http://www.unomaha.edu/~pto for more information about Boal, Freire, and the upcoming workshops and conference.
