Dear friends, A 60-second Public Service Announcement of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is available as a free MP3 resource on the homepage of www.spiralingmusic.com. This can be found by going to the PSA section of the homepage, where you will be able to download some music and the UDHR translated into 300 languages. 60-seconds of the music can be downloaded and voice-overs made from the UDHR text. The original PSA, produced in 1998, demonstrates how voiceovers can be used with the music and is also available as an MP3 sample on the homepage. The PSA will remain on the homepage through December 10th, Human Rights Day. It was produced in 1988 as a gift to the UN Commission on Human Rights by myself and supporting artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. The audio soundbyte is intended for use in promoting awareness of the UDHR and promoting activities celebrating the anniversary of the document on December 10th. There are some public access radio stations that make airtime available for public service announcements, as well as stations that add a minute as a "module" before or after a program. I hope that you find this to be a useful resource for your community. "The destiny of human rights is in the hands of all our citizens, in all our communities."
