Tally- My name is Sean Arthurs and I am one of the "chairs" of Amnesty International here at Cincinnati College of Law. I don't know of any political prisoners who might be able to come and speak but I am wondering about what ideas you have for an AI chapter at a law school. We just started up again this year and are looking for projects and ideas. I can also share with you one of the projects we are doing. We have organized a letter writing campaign and are now bringing the movie "Lilya 4-ever" to Cincinnati for its Midwest debut. The movie is about sexual trafficking in children and has won rave international reviews. It is In Swedish and another Eastern European language with English subtitles and is 105 minutes long. We worked through the local independent film group here and are bringing the movie, along with a panel discussion for two showings on November 2nd. It might be worth looking into if you want- although it is very expensive (our share was $400 for sponsoring obligations) and the only way we afforded it was through co-sponsoring and the publicity and anticipated ticket sales that the local film group's network already had in place. I can send you more info if you are interested. Meanwhile, if you have a minute to talk about some of the activities you're doing, I would be very interested.
