Established in 1967, the Canadian Human Rights Foundation (CHRF) is a
non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in Montreal, dedicated to
the protection and promotion of human rights through education, in Canada
and around the world. Our human rights education programs contribute to
building the capacity of organizations to develop the knowledge, skills,
values, attitudes and behaviors required to engage effectively in human
rights education, monitoring and advocacy.

Due to the growth of our organization, there are several positions open at
the CHRF:

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Reporting to the IHRTP Program Officer, the Program Assistant is
responsible for coordinating the administration and logistics related to
the annual International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP). She/he
participates in planning and provides other support to ensure the
successful delivery of the IHRTP. She/he works closely with all staff
involved in the development and delivery of the IHRTP and follow-up
programs.

EDUCATION SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Director of Education, the Education Specialist will work
as part of the education team on curriculum development for CHRF's human
rights education projects and other related support activities. He/she
will work with the education team and program staff on the development,
delivery and evaluation of education activities.  This position is being
offered as a one-year contract.  There is a possibility of renewal or
permanence of the position of the position at the end of the contract.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Reporting to the volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director
will:

* Lead a staff of 17 in Montreal, branch offices in Kazakhstan and
Indonesia, and a four-person management team, in developing and
implementing the strategic directions and initiatives of the organization
and in managing its day-to-day operations.
* Lead fund development activities, stakeholder/partner relations, human
resource management, strategic/long range planning, program services and
public relations interests of the organization.
* Facilitate the creation of new programming and the implementation and
monitoring of existing programs.
* Demonstrate financial stewardship through responsible fiscal management,
while working to build CHRF's future sustainability.
