Seeking financial support for legal aid clinic in Warsaw

Dear Members,

I'm writting to you asking for your help. I come from Poland and I'm a
member of the Clinic of Law at the University of Warsaw. In the Clinic 80
students give free legal advice to the poor people in the field of civil
law, criminal law, labour law. I work in the refugee section and deal now
with 30 people seeking in Poland for refugee status or asylum coming
especially from Tschechen Republic. Since October 2002 my Clinic had
about 700 clients so you have to admit that we do a really good job!

Among Clinic's main sponsors there was UNHCR. Unfortunatelly in January
2003 UNHCR decided to stop supporting financially our activities on the
grounds of their financial problems. Their decision will have dramatic
effects to our work. We need some money to run the office, buy some office
tools, envelopes...

I would be grateful if you could suggest me where should we ask for
financial support. I thank you in advance for any advices,

Best regards,

Edyta Malek
