New on-line forum on clinical legal education

In November 2001, the Public Interest Law Initiative in Transitional
Societies at Columbia Law School (PILI) in cooperation with the Global
Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE) launched a web-based forum on
clinical legal education. The forum is intended to serve as a global
exchange of information and resources among a community of clinical law
professors from different parts of the world.

The Clinical Legal Education Forum has two components: a resource bank and
a discussion section. The resource section is comprised of articles,
information about current and upcoming events in the field of clinical
legal education and other materials, which are posted by forum members. The
discussion section will allow for an ongoing dialogue on different matters
related to clinical legal education such as educational techniques or
developing a clinical curriculum, and will create a forum for exchange of
information about new developments in the field.

The Clinical Legal Education Forum is free. Registered participants can
post materials, participate in a discussion or start a discussion thread
themselves.

To enter the Clinical Legal Education Forum, please go to:
www.pili.org/clef or just visit the home page of the Public Interest Law
Initiative (PILI) where you will find a link to the forum.

The Clinical Legal Education Forum is the second web based discussion forum
launched by the Public Interest Law Initiative in 2001. In July 2001 the
Public Interest Law Initiative together with its partners in the project
for promoting access to justice in Central and Eastern Europe and in
collaboration with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York
launched a web-based forum on access to justice (www.pili.org/access).
