Around Halloween companies like Mars, Inc (M&M's, Milky Way and Snickers) enjoy their BIGGEST sales to children. Unfortunately, chocolate is no treat for the hundreds of thousands of children who work on cocoa farms - either helping their impoverished families or as slaves. While the US chocolate industry has pledged to child slavery by 2005, they have no provisions for fair and stable wages- leaving countless children to work long and hard to bring us chocolate. Fortunately there is a solution- FAIR TRADE, which guarantees a living wage, prohibits abusive child labor, and gives kids the opportunity to go to school. Despite growing demand for Fair Trade chocolate, Mars, Inc. has refused to offer it. We need YOU to HELP to send Mars, Inc., a strong and clear message for Fair Trade.
