- CHILD RIGHTS CAUCUS: Child Rights Caucus Planning Meeting [report]

This report documents the recent planning meeting of the Child Rights 
Caucus, which was attended by over 30 NGOs on 28 February 2002 to plan for 
the UN Special Session on Children.

The report provides an update of the goals of the meeting, which were:
1) to review the status of the outcome document and the negotiations;
2) to plan advocacy during the lead-up to the Special Session;
3) to discuss strategy for the Special Session itself
4) to continue the discussion on the future of the Caucus.

- CHILD RIGHTS CAUCUS: Child Rights Caucus Strategy Day - 7 May 2002 [event]

Prior to the UN General Assembly Special Session on Children, the Child 
Rights Caucus will hold a one- day strategy day on 7 May 2002. This event 
will last from 10am to 3pm and the agenda will include:

- a report on the informal negotiations;
- updates on advocacy activity by the Caucus, including lobbying of 
individual governments;
- review of the media plan for the Special Session and other
planned Caucus activities;
- decision-making regarding the future of the Caucus;

Children  [publication]

This document is a landmark report issued by UN Secretary-General Kofi 
Annan. It assesses the progress made in meeting the commitments made to the 
children around the globe at the 1990 World Summit for Children. The report 
includes best practices and lessons learned, obstacles to progress and a 
plan of action for building a world fit for children. It is available in

also accompanied by a Statistical Review, presenting the most recent data 
on children's rights and well-being.
