This course addresses the full life cycle of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL). Participants will acquire knowledge and skills related to designing logic models; planing for MEAL by using tools such performance management plans and tracking tables, terms of reference and learning plans; collecting and analysing MEAL data and use these data to make project decisions, communicate with stakeholders and practice adaptive management.

In this course, you will learn:

  • to define concepts and approaches related to MEAL;
  • to include the MEAL approach in your project cycle management;
  • to design and use main MEAL tools (MEAL plan, survey tools, terms of reference, evaluation report, accountability mechanisms, learning plans, etc);
  • to apply the MEAL approach in the implementation of projects and programmes.
