Warsaw, 2 October 2009 -- Together against poverty; Confronting injustice; Children’s rights and lives; Diversity toolkit; Young people's civic action; Junior voting; School mediation; Co-operative learning in multicultural groups… these are just a few of the 101 good practices in human rights education from Europe, North America and Central Asia compiled by HREA and key human rights institutions and published in a new Compendium.

Designed for primary and secondary schools as well as teacher training institutions, the resources included in the Compendium touch upon the key elements for successful human rights education: laws, guidelines and standards; the learning environment; teaching and learning tools; professional development for educators and evaluation.

HREA collaborated with the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Council of Europe, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and UNESCO to produce the resource.
