Human rights advocates and educators benefit enormously from the expertise of others. HREA supports the sharing of new ideas, exchange of materials and resources and networking between educators and human rights professionals. HREA has initiated, supports and is an active member in the following communities of practice.
Moderated Forums
The Global Human Rights Education listserv is a forum for activists and educators to exhange information on upcoming trainings and conferences; studies and "lessons learned"; human rights education resources; and new projects around the world. The forum's membership includes 6,400 organisations and individuals from 190 countries.
The North American Human Rights Education listserv is designed to keep the North American human rights and education community informed about developments in the field that are of specific interest to Canada, Mexico and the United States. The list is open to anyone interested in human rights education and training, and will enable individuals involved in HRE in Canada, Mexico and the USA to focus on topics, current events and issues of regional importance.
Huridocs-Tech is a forum on the use of information technologies for human rights work; on policies regarding freedom of speech, privacy, the right to information and on other issues related to human rights and the Internet.

The Global Human Rights Education Network is a directory of organisations that promote learning and training in the field of human rights.
The Portal for Human Rights Schools is aimed at policy makers, educators and students interested in the implementation of a human rights-based approach (HRBA) to schooling.
The Global Directory of Human Rights Educators is a password protected database listing educators, trainers and curriculum developers. The directory is a resource to help individuals, communities and organisations identify human rights educators and explore potential partnerships.
