Description This is the report of an impact assessment and lessons learned from the "Rights Education Action Programme" (REAP) (2000-2009). REAP is a non-formal international human rights education initiative led by Amnesty International Norway and implemented for ten years in ten countries around the world. This programme involved bilateral cooperation with more than 30 different local Amnesty organisations in all parts of the world. The lessons from the impact assessment are: local partners are key to the success of REAP; mobilising youth to support human rights is important; human rights education and empowerment lead to social change.
