This training manual was developed for Mongolian organisations that support people with disabilities to enable them to effectively participate in the process of ratifying, monitoring and implementing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. It contains key concepts on the UN human rights system and international human rights conventions particularly related to the rights of persons with disabilities. The training manual also introduces the human rights–based approach and related international resources, as well as guidance for organisations on how to develop a national strategy aimed at protecting and promoting the human rights of persons with disabilities. |
