RSS (Really Simple Syndication) é uma maneira de fornecer regularmente conteúdo da web em mudança. É uma maneira muito simples de estar informado acerca de actualizações a paginas web sem necessidade de estar continuamente a visitá-las. Pode subscrever fontes RSS seleccionadas e manter-se actualizado apenas nos assuntos que sejam do seu interesse. Pode também usar as fontes RSS para automaticamente puxar conteúdo de outras paginas web para a sua própria página web.
Como é que começo a utilizar as fontes RSS ?
Em geral, a primeira coisa que necessita é um Leitor de Noticias (News Reader). Alguns navegadores web incluindo Firefox, novas versões do Internet Explorer, Opera e Safari têm funcionalidades que automaticamente retiram as fontes RSS por si. Alguns Leitores de Noticias (News Readers) populares são: FeedDemon, Google Reader, NewsFire e NetNewsWire (Mac).
Como é que eu subscrevo uma fonte RSS ?
Depois de escolher um Leitor de Noticias o que tem apenas de fazer é clicar no ícone cor-de-laranja das fontes RSS em qualquer página para a qual queira receber as fontes e arraste o URL para o seu Leitor de Noticias ou corte e cole o mesmo URL para uma nova fonte no seu Leitor de Noticias.
