From June-December 2011, in partnership with Arseh Sevom, HREA will be offering two e-learning courses for Iranian human rights defenders. For the facilitation of these courses HREA is looking for an intern/volunteer who is a native speaker of Farsi to assist the course instructor(s).
Responsibilities: The intern/volunteer would be responsible for:
Knowledge/Skills: The following skills are necessary:
- fluency in English and Farsi;
- excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills;
- excellent communication skills;
- ability to work well independently;
- excellent judgement;
- accuracy and eye for detail;
- knowledge of learning management systems, particularly the Moodle e-learning platform;
- interest in human rights in Iran and knowledge of human rights law.
When
Starting 15 May 2011 until 18 December 2011.
Hours required
Approximately 8 hours per week.
Support available
This internship is unpaid; however, a transportation subsidy is available if necessary. (We are based in in Central Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts and reachable by subway/commuter rail.) It is also possible to be a volunteer remotely.
