Objective of this course is to provide participants with basic knowledge of human rights that will enable them to integrate human rights principles, standards, and approaches into their daily work; and to enable participants to form networks with like-minded professionals so as to benefit from each others experiences and perspectives.

Course Methodology
The instructors will include human rights practitioners and researchers from DIHR, and Danish and international guest lecturers. The methodological approach of the course will be lectures, case studies, and group and individual work. Participants will be expected to actively engage in the course, by sharing their experiences, knowledge, and the concrete challenges they face in their work. There will also be visits to relevant Danish institutions, such as the Ombudsman or a police station. Level:

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Participants: members and staff of NGO’s, state institutions, and international organisations who work in developing countries, countries in transition to democracy, and post-conflict countries. Participants must be able to fully participate in a course in English. The number of participants is limited to 25.
Tuition, fee, lodging: Course tuition fee is 20000 DKK, which includes only the course fee, materials, lunch and coffee breaks. Application form.
