International Labour Standards, Productivity Improvement and Enterprise Development (A9-2668)

This interregional course examines the positive linkages and mutually supportive relations between good labour practices as set out in International Labour Standards, on the one hand, and entrepreneurship and enterprise development based on productivity growth, on the other. Taking as its context the globalised market and highlighting the most relevant labour standards, it shows how a framework of regulations derived from ILO standards contributes to productivity growth and total quality management. Working language is English.

Participants: Representatives from employer's and workers' organisations; national officials with responsibility for small and medium enterprise development; officials from ministries of Labour and Industry; human resources, training and staff development managers.

Tuition, fee, lodging: Tuition is US$ 1,830; estimated subsistance costs (accommodation, meals) is: US$ 1,670.
