| Cambridge, 26 April 2012 -- On Sunday, 30 April will be performed. "Dreyfus: The Play" by Grumberg directed by Guila Clara Kessous tells the true story of the Dreyfus scandal, the false accusations, the degradation, and also the dignity. The play is set in a Jewish section in Vilna, Poland, in 1931. A group of amateur actors are rehearsing a new play, written by their ambitious young director, about Alfred Dreyfus, the French-Jewish military officer whose persecution was opposed by the eloquent Emile Zola.
HREA is one of the co-sponsors of the play, which will also be performed in New York in May. The play will be followed by a Panel Discussion & Reception: "Yom Hashoah: The importance of remembrance and the situation of Jews in France today" from 4:00-6:30 pm at Smith Hall, Harvard Hillel (second floor), 52 Mount Auburn Street in Cambridge.
WHEN: Sunday, April 29 at 1:00 pm WHERE: Oberon, 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA
