| Description |
|
This comprehensive bibliography provides an overview of current literature related to human rights. The bibliography is intended to provide children, young adults and teachers with a guide to human rights topics organised by specific focus areas. These areas include: Behavior, Country of Origin/Immigrants/Refugees, Gender, Making a Difference, Me/Self-Esteem/Individuality, Multiculturalism, Peace, Physical and Mental Disability, Racism, Religion, Safety, and Sexual Orientation. These topics are intended to illustrate the link between human rights in our own communities, human rights experiences in other countries, and in addition provide insight into how students can make a difference in matters concerning human rights and diversity. This list is not exhaustive but instead is meant to be used as a beginners guide to learning about human rights and diversity. This bibliography could be particularly useful to teachers or community leaders as well as students. |
