Description The compendium outlines indicators for monitoring and evaluating violence against women and girls (VAW/G). It is aimed at programme managers, organisations and policy makers working to combat VAW/G at the individual, community, district/provincial and national levels in developing countries. Indicators were developed to measure the magnitude and characteristics of different forms of VAW/G, particularly including under-documented areas like violence occurring during humanitarian emergencies, trafficking in persons, and femicide. The report also includes indicators to evaluate programs addressing these issues by sector (health, education, justice/security, social welfare), as well as community-based strategies that involve working with men and boys.
