Description This compilation includes OSCE commitments of particular relevance to human rights education and training. These include commitments on human rights defenders; freedom of expression; free media and information; prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment; freedom of thought, conscience, religion, or belief; rule of law; independence of the judiciary; right to education; prevention of aggressive nationalism, racism, chauvinism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and ethnic-cleansing; prevention of trafficking in human beings; Roma and Sinti; migrant workers; and international humanitarian law. The list of commitments should not be considered exhaustive, as all commitments relating to human rights and fundamental freedoms are considered equally important in promotion of human rights education and training.
