The Free University Berlin, “right now” and HREA started a new project on historical learning and human rights education, funded by the German foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future as part of its Teaching Human Rights funding programme.
HREA staff members Frank Elbers and Felisa Tibbitts were in Berlin, Germany from 28-30 September for a kick-off meeting of the project “Historical Learning meets Human Rights Education: A Combined Approach to Exploring the History of National Socialism”, funded by the German Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation. This 18-month project with the Free University of Berlin sets out to develop a handbook for educators in formal and non-formal education, followed by a series of training workshops and an instructor-led e-learning course.
