HREA seeks an intern to assist with the building up of our Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Community of Practice. Responsibilities will include developing research products to share with the Community on questions that have been posed by the members; helping to organize and market a webinar series; contributing helpful materials to the Community of Practice; and helping to organize virtual discussions. This is an opportunity to gain research and communication experience, and interact with our wide network of people working on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The intern will be expected to have strong writing, editing and research skills. The internship would be ideal for an advanced undergraduate/graduate student in a gender studies program, but we will consider other applicants with a strong background in gender equality programming as well.
Starting as early as 1 September 2015, but we are flexible about start date. We are seeking an intern who is (ideally) available at least until December 2015. At a later stage, we could discuss the possibility to extend the internship into the spring.
At HREA’s office in Central Square (689 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139)
The intern needs to be available to spend at least 6 hours in the HREA office each week, with the possibility of working additional time in office or remotely. We can be flexible on scheduling.
This internship is unpaid.
