Martin Luther King Day (15 January 2007)

Martin Luther King (Photo source: The Martin Luther King, Jr., Papers Project) Monday, 15 January 2007, the United States celebrates the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birth (born on 15 January 1929). Two generations ago Dr. King challenged segregation and racial discrimination by leading marches and boycotts in the southern United States, sparking the beginning of the civil rights movement.
