Regional Training Programme on Advancing Economic, Social and Cultural Rights

This training aims to strengthen participant's knowledge, skills and tools required for advancing economic, social and cultural rights in the region. The curriculum will be based on "Circle Of Rights" a Manual on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, published by the International Human Rights Internship programme and Forum-Asia.

The curriculum will take into account the training needs of potential participants and will be designed to provide an understanding of the underlying concepts of ESC rights and relevant skills/tools required for advancing them.

Level: (under)graduate, professional

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Participants: 25-30 senior managers working in the area of human rights and development issues in countries in the Asia region.

Tuition, fee, lodging: A selected number of participants will be offered full financial support. An application form can be requested from Ms. Sunsanee Sutthisunsanee at FORUM-ASIA. Closing date for applications is 30 April 2002.
